Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year... it's gets a bit more chilly and you can start to wrap up warm and get in the holiday spirit. What better way to celebrate than going to a pumpkin festival and picking your own pumpkins!
Kenyon Hall Farm is based in Warrington, England and has a delightful shop, cafe, plant centre and offers a 'pick your own' experience of fruit and vegetables depending on the season.
Obviously, this time of year meant it was the season for PUMPKINS! I've never really picked my own fruit and vegetables before so I was very excited to visit the farm and see what they had to offer.
As you enter, you a greeted with ready picked pumpkins which you can buy straight away if you don't want to pick your own. This is quite a good option if you are after a specific size of pumpkin as they are all organised into small, medium and large. They even had tiny pumpkins that were so cute and perfect to use for decoration purposes. All these pumpkins are priced up too so you know exactly how much everything will cost.
Kenyon Hall Farm also offers a plant/garden centre which is lovely to walk around and gain inspiration from. My favourite display was the birdcage and pumpkin carved to look like an owl. I have a slight obsession with owls so this made my day.
The farm was a lot bigger than I expected and there was so many pumpkins to choose from! Larger pumpkins are surprisingly really heavy so after a quick pose for a photo I had to put them back down. To finish our day, we visited the corn maze trying our best not to get lost ha!
Pumpkin picking is such a fun day out for all the family. There were educational activities and mazes for kids to enjoy too. I had such a fun time visiting the farm and would highly recommend visiting a farm this Autumn to pick your own pumpkins too.
Top Tip: Bring some strong bags with you to carry the pumpkins as they are surprisingly very heavy. Don't forget your wellies too!
Do you like picking your own pumpkins?
